Though I’d promised myself not to, I’ve ignored this blog for a really long time……. again. This isn’t the first time I’ve done this, as my readers know all too well. I don’t want to let this blog of mine go to waste, as I’ve put in considerable effort writing stuff. So I promise, I won’t let this blog lie dormant, at least for quite a while. So what kept me from posting all this while? School, exams, the usual stuff. But quite a few changes have taken place in my life.
For one, my age old 6600GT conked out, so I’m stuck for now with an even older ATI Rage card. So as you might have guessed, gaming is no longer a hobby of mine. The only game I play now is Battle for Wesnoth, a classic turn-based strategy game. I’m not much of a fan of the RTS genre, mostly because of games with an overwhelming number of options, and the complications that come with them. Battle for Wesnoth though, keeps it relatively simple, and is great fun playing in multiplayer. Besides this, I’ve taken to watching movies now, and I realize how much fun it can be. 
Secondly, I’ve ditched Linux Mint, and took the plunge and installed Arch Linux. I use Arch full-time now, and I’m really pleased. The installation part was the most fun. Arch Linux is definitely recommended for anyone who’s interested in doing some classic text-mode installation, and knows his way around the terminal. I’ve also been eyeing Sabayon and Mandriva for quite a while, I guess I’ll try them out soon.
And I’m enjoying my vacations right now.
